Analysis of Abstractive and Extractive Summarization Methods

This paper explains the existing approaches employed for (automatic) text summarization. The summarizing method is part of the natural language processing (NLP) field and is applied to the source document to produce a compact version that preserves its aggregate meaning and key concepts. On a broader scale, approaches for text-based summarization are categorized into two groups: abstractive and extractive. In abstractive summarization, the main contents of the input text are paraphrased, possibly using vocabulary that is not present in the source document, while in extractive summarization, the output summary is a subset of the input text and is generated by using the sentence ranking technique. In this paper, the main ideas behind the existing methods used for abstractive and extractive summarization are discussed broadly. A comparative study of these methods is also highlighted

Accidental finding of odontoma during routine chronic periodontitis therapy-a rare finding

Chronic periodontitis is an infectious disease resulting in inflammation within supporting tissues of the teeth, progressive attachment loss and bone loss”. Odontomas are the most common type of odontogenic tumors and generally they are asymptomatic. This paper describes an accidental finding of odontoma in an adult patient of generalized chronic periodontitis. Surgical excision of the lesion was performed .Reporting of such cases is necessary as initially there was no clinical or radiographic evidence of lesion was present .Dentist should well equipped and prepared for incorporation any modification during flap surgery of for successful management and better patient care

Inter-relationship of calcium, Vitamin D, and fluoride in periodontal health: An overview

Many dental diseases are the result of developmental and maturation defects of teeth. Few of them are prenatal and postnatal calcification defects, developmental disturbances due to endocrine abnormalities, influence of dietary factors, mottled and hypoplastic enamel, caries, and loose teeth.
